What is Reiki and How Does It Promote Healing?

Reiki is a spiritual practice that encourages healing by bringing balance to our system. Balance in our system is necessary for self-healing. 

The changes in our physiological, emotional, and mental states become noticeable as we bring our system towards balance. Our physical, emotional and mental bodies are interconnected and impact our whole being. 

For example, a Reiki treatment may bring physiological changes such as muscle tension relaxing, digestion improving and/or deeper breathing. As we feel physiological improvements, we may also start to notice subjective improvements in our life, such as feeling lighter, more grounded, and having clarity.

In a balanced state, we are able to take more control of our lives, make better decisions, and be more at peace throughout the ups and downs we all experience in life.

What to Expect During Your Reiki Session

What Does Reiki Feel Like?

Many individuals notice physiological sensations immediately, such as warmth, tingling, and muscle tension relaxing.

Others may notice mental or emotional changes, with memories surfacing and releasing, feeling comforted, or deeply supported. Most drift off into a state of deep relaxation.

Outcome observations following the session include: better sleep, improvements in digestion, clarity of mind, pain relief, and feeling generally happier throughout the day.
